I recently installed Windows 7 RC on an Acer Travelmate 3002WTci and I've managed to get everything to work except the audio.
Does anyone know of a Windows 7 compatible driver available for download anywhere?

You have to find out what model number you audio component has.
Since the Vista (and hopefully 7) driver I found at this link only works for a couple of models:
The Sigmatel AC97 audio driver is for Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 2000. Technically, it is the rather long winded: Sigmatel C-Major STAC 9750 AC97 WDM Audio Driver. Whatever way you want to label it, the driver package installs version 5.1 of the driver onto your system and can be used as an update to an earlier driver or as part of a new installation. The driver can be used for the following Sigmatel models: STAC 9200, STAC 9204, STAC 9205, STAC 9220, STAC 9221, STAC 9223, STAC 9227, STAC 9228, STAC 9229, STAC 9230, STAC 9254, STAC 9255, STAC 9271, STAC 9272, STAC 9273, STAC 9274.

I have tried troubleshooting this issue with many of the post online, but the Sony Sigmatel high Definition Audio will not install and when it does the defice does not work. I was able to install the Vista driver from the sony esupport website for the 32 bit version of Windows 7 and it worked, but I cannot get it to work on the 64 bit version. I meet all of the specs to run windows 64 on this Sony Vaio VGC-RC110G with Radeon X300 graphics, Pentium D dual core processor with a 945P chipset and an up date bios which indicate EMT64 enabled. I have installed the Windows 7 (64 bit) version of Windows 7 and most of my programs and they are all working. I was able to install most of the updated drivers rom the intel website http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect and the ATI drivers from http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx, but sony wants $59 to install the driver mannually. I have tried all of the compatibility setting. I got an unknown error message and a message that there was a problem writing to the registry. I was able to obtain a registry log file of my system and I need help because it will not install from within system. It says that files other process or system is in use. Never thouth that a sound driver would give so much trouple and Sony is at the top of the Corprate greed latter as far as I am concerned. Help?
